In 1978, Scott Halterman, and family moved to Coldwater Ohio after many years of successful retail businesses in the mid 1960’s in southern Ohio. In 1978 Halterman Inc. was formed, and they opened up their first hardware store in Coldwater Ohio in October of 1978.

The success of the Coldwater store, lead to the opening of the second hardware store, in Celina Ohio on May of 1996. 

Jay Halterman is the Owner and General Manager of the Coldwater Ohio ACE Hardware. Jeff Halterman, is the Owner and General Manager of the Celina Ohio ACE Hardware. 

Together, with much hometown community support, they have made ACE, Is the Place.
